What kind of service are you looking for?

I offer proofreading on hard copy, PDF and Word (using Track Changes) which is a final check of your text for grammatical correctness, errors and inconsistencies. Copyediting is a little more technical, cleaning up your words, checking layout is correct and consistent. My rates reflect the suggested minimum rates set by the Society for Editors and Proofreaders.

Proofreading

Proofreading is the checking for spelling, and grammatical errors and inconsistencies. My per-hour rate is £25.00.

Copyediting

Copyediting is proofreading plus formatting of text and checking the consistency of layout. My per-hour rate is £27.00.

 Copywriting

I charge on a per-project basis. Depending on the complexity of text required, a ballpark figure for a day’s copywriting will cost £300–450.
